CardValet: A Mobile Companion for Card Security
CardValet is a mobile app that offers enhanced control over your debit card usage. Key features include:
- Card on/off: Quickly turn your card on or off.
- Transaction alerts: Receive real-time notifications.
- Spend limits: Set daily, weekly, or monthly spending limits.
- Location-based controls: Create and manage domestic travel exemptions.
- Merchant category controls: Block transactions at specific types of merchants.
Visa® Consumer Alerts
Visa Consumer Alerts offer a convenient way to help protect you from fraud. Get alerts for:
- large purchases
- activity notifications
- low balance warnings and more.
You choose the alerts you want to receive and how you want to receive them: text message or email.

If you think you have been the victim of identity theft or fraud, contact SCU Credit Union immediately at 781-784-7725, any other financial institutions where you have accounts, and the three major credit bureaus to request a fraud alert be placed on your credit report.
